Curriculum

St. Margaret’s is an English Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) through-train school (Primary 1 to Secondary 6) that operates within the same campus. As such, our curriculum is divided into 3 stages: Stage 1 (Primary 1 to 4), Stage 2 (Primary 5 to Secondary 2) and Stage 3 (Secondary 3 to 6). As children have different developmental needs at different stages, it is imperative that our school utilizes a holistic approach in our teaching style so that our students can make a joyful and smooth learning transition from one stage to the next.

We understand the need to master different languages to enhance our students' communicative skills. Not only do we adopt English as the medium of instruction (EMI) for most subjects, but students also use Putonghua to learn Chinese. What is more, all students are required to take up a third language from primary onwards. We therefore provide an environment that nurtures global education so that they will all be triliterate and quadrilingual, giving them more opportunities in the future, and to meet challenges.
