St. Margaret's Co-educational English Secondary and Primary School
Our school engages students from different cultural backgrounds. Understanding cultural differences enhances students’ learning outcomes. Using storytelling in teaching multiplication can bridge abstract mathematical concepts with students’ real-life experiences. It also helps students to understand the language of multiplication. For example, the position of multiplicand and multiplier.
A board displaying famous mathematicians from different countries is set up in our school’s Harmony Lane. A brief introduction of the mathematicians and their contribution is shown on the board to foster students’ deeper interest and appreciation in this subject.
Mathspace is an adaptive online learning platform to personalize the learning experience for each student by analyzing answers given and subsequently provide questions with varied difficulties, Hints and videos are provided if students need help to understand certain steps or concepts.
Learning Mathematics can be a lot of fun! Various activities such as Mathematics Week, Inter-house Mathematics Competition, Inter-Class Mathematics Competition and Monthly Mathematics Challenge are organized for students to challenge themselves and achieve higher goals.
