St. Margaret's Co-educational English Secondary and Primary School
On October 3, 2024, our school celebrated World Animal Day in collaboration with the organization ‘House of Joy & Mercy’. The event aimed to enhance students’ love and care for animals through a variety of engaging activities.
Throughout the day, students participated in several activities designed to raise awareness and appreciation for animals. During the CT period and lunch time, students watched educational videos that highlighted the importance of animal welfare. An educational workshop was also held, focusing on the blessings of animals in the Catholic Church, which provided insightful knowledge about the spiritual significance of animals.
To make the day even more interactive, booth games were set up for both primary and secondary students. These games were not only fun but also educational, helping students learn more about different animals and how to care for them.
Additionally, S.3 and S.4 students had the opportunity to visit an animal shelter. This site visit allowed them to see firsthand the efforts made to rescue and care for animals in need. It was a touching experience that reinforced the day’s message of compassion and responsibility towards animals.
Overall, the event was a great success, leaving a lasting impact on the students and fostering a deeper sense of empathy and care for animals.
