St. Margaret's Co-educational English Secondary and Primary School
Five of our Girl Guides from S.2 to S.5 (S.2 Wong Lai Yi Jasmine, S.3 Lam Wing Tung Constance, S.3 Wong Lok Yi Natalie, S.4 Chiu Tsz Kiu Charlotte and S.5 Yueng Hei Wun Hedia) gained an opportunity to participate in the Japan Tokyo Exchange and Cultural Tour 2024(日本(東京) 文化交流 2024)during the Easter holidays from 1 to 5 April, 2024 to Girl Scouts of Japan. The capacity of this exchange and cultural tour was 20 and we were honoured to have 5 Girl Guides from our school being selected and sponsored by the Kowloon Regional Association of the HKGGA.
In this trip, our Girl Guides learned more about the Japanese Traditional Kimono, the “Sado” Japanese Tea Ceremony and the history of Sakura. They also had the chance to visit the Life Safety Learning Centre, where they experienced a simulated earthquake, learnt about the havoc wreaked by earthquakes and acquired the necessary skills required in an emergency. They also became more knowledgeable about the kinds of strong winds and heavy rain that could cause storms or flood damages to an area. Overall, it was indeed a good learning experience for our students, and they enjoyed their experiences immensely!
