St. Margaret's Co-educational English Secondary and Primary School
During the Easter holidays in April, 13 S.4 and S.5 students participated in a service trip where they spent 6 days in Chengdu, Sichuan. In the trip, students visited the elderly in an elderly centre and organized games for them. Our students also visited a local school where they interacted and orchestrated a play in English with the local students.
Most memorably, our students joined a volunteer program called Panda Husbandry in the Dujiangyan Panda Centre organised by the China Conservation and Research Centre for the Giant Panda. They got to prepare food for the pandas, helped to clean up their living place and observed pandas at a close distance. Overall, our students had a lot of fun, gained valuable experience from this trip and learnt a lot about panda conservation.
