On 29 June 2023, ten of our students participated in the HKACE x BOA WIT&O Organizing Event: Tech4Girls Hong Kong, a workshop jointly organized by the Hong Kong Association for Computer Education and Women in Technology & Operations at Bank of America, aiming to inspire girls to pursue careers in STEM fields through learning first-hand about how different departments such as trading, risk management and cybersecurity all come together to support the bank’s clients. In addition to learning about cybersecurity through playing hands-on games, discovering the operations of business organizations in a trading simulation game, and visiting the trading floor of the bank, our students also had the opportunity to listen to inspiring stories from female leaders who work in the field. These leaders also interacted with them to learn more about the career path. It was definitely a fun and fulfilling afternoon!
