The HKFYG English Public Speaking Contest is one of the largest and most iconic public speaking competitions in Hong Kong that attracts local and international school participants from the 5 districts in our city. This year, there were over 2000 public speaking enthusiasts competing fiercely for a prestigious appearance in the Grand Finals held on 29 April 2023.
S4 Giuliana Del Mundo, a novice public speaker, defeated hundreds of participants in the Kowloon West District and took the stage of the Grand Finals as the representative of the district, and delivered a motivating speech on the United Nation's sustainable development goals. We are extremely proud of Giuliana's achievement in bringing home the 2nd Runner-up trophy in the Grand Finals and came out on top in the Kowloon West District Finals. Congratulations to Giuliana!
