The 59th Schools Dance Festival announced the results on 16 March 2023! Our group dances, namely ‘Let's Go 啟程吧！’from the Lower Primary Dance Team, ‘My New Pair of Shoes 穿新鞋’ from the Upper Primary Dance Team and ‘The Joy of Embroidery 繡’from the Secondary Team 1, obtained Honours Awards in this year's competition amongst 588 schools and 1597 teams in Hong Kong.

For the categories of Chinese Dance, our Secondary girls were all crowned Honours Awards. The trio dances were ‘Our Secret Playground 嬉’ and ‘The Pace of Spring 春天的步伐’. Our Primary and Secondary group dances, ‘Harmony of Wings and Petals 花傘蝶扇’ and ‘The Autumn Moon 秋月’ won the Highly Commended Awards in their sections respectively. One of our primary students in P.3 also obtained the Highly Commended Award in the Contemporary Dance of Primary Section (Solo).

We obtained a total of five Honours Awards and three Highly Commended Awards. On top of the above achievements, our Dance Teacher Ms. Lam, once again, obtained the ‘Choreography Award’!

The remarkable achievement is undoubtedly a result of the enthusiasm in aesthetic development of the school and the hard work from our committed students. We are very grateful for the honour we received from the professional judges. St. Margaret’s is proud that our teams can achieve such amazing results!
