On 4 May 2022, our English Debate Team made history by standing on the stage in Queen Elizabeth Stadium, demonstrating their language and critical thinking abilities to everyone in Hong Kong in the Grand Final of the 37th Sing Tao Inter-school Debating Competition.
After winning 5 intense matches since November 2021, our S5 debaters (S5 Chloe Chan, Michelle Theng and Keith Yeung) were the finalists in this year's English section competition. The debaters have demonstrated outstanding English abilities as well as acute awareness towards social issues throughout the competition. All three debaters have been awarded Best Debater in at least one of the matches, and it is very exciting to see that our students are thriving in large-scale tournaments. We were awarded First Runner-up in this year's competition amongst 28 elite schools and international schools in Hong Kong.
We are committed to nurturing students to be effective and confident global communicators, and we look forward to our students breaking more records and making history in other competitions.
