St. Margaret's Co-educational English Secondary and Primary School
Our English debate team from S4 last academic year (now S5) has brought home the Championship trophy in the Grand Final of the Hong Kong Secondary Schools Debating Competition 2020-2021.
The territory-wide competition is one of the largest debating competitions in Asia. Despite the limited face-to-face practice time, Zoom and WiFi related technical issues and time constraints faced by the very busy debaters throughout the year, they were able to meet the qualification requirement for the Grand Final, and ultimately defeated a very strong team of native English speakers in the final debate. Congratulations to our team!
